Part of the process of developing a project schedule is to calculate the times of day that people should start and finish their tasks. This helps you to organise the various trades so that workers aren't getting in each other's way.
Of course, you can never guarantee that a tradesperson will show up on time, or will do the job within the number of hours that you've allocated to them. But if you've got some idea of the timetable for each day you'll be able to keep the job running more smoothly and efficiently.
Set out below is the schedule for Day 1 of an installation project. You'll notice that this is taken from the assignment for this section. The starting times are shown for each tradesperson, as well as the expected duration of each task.
Fill in the finishing time for each trade in the 'Finish' column. Then click on the 'Check' button underneath to see if you were correct.

Now we'll go to the other end of the job when the tiler arrives to lay the floor tiles. Let's say that he begins on a Monday and has to complete the tasks set out below. Now see if you can fill in the finishing times correctly in the table underneath. Click 'Check' to check your answers.
